Road

    Ranchi has been good in Road connectivity with 3-4 National Highways crossing through or close to
    it. Recently the state government with the support of NHDC has constituted a plan to strengthen the
    road connectivity of different district headquarters to this capital city with 4-laned highways of
    international standards. Ranchi has very good road connectivity with places like Jamshedpur
    (Tatanagar), Bokaro, Dhanbad, Daltonganj, Patna, Gaya and various other Bihar towns. It also has
    inter-state conductivities to places like Kolkata, Durgapur/Asansol, Siliguri (Darjeeling), Cuttack,
    Rourkela, Bhubaneswar.












           Rail

    Ranchi has witnessed a tremendous growth of railway connectivity during the past 3-4 years.
    Growing demand and subsequent push grants in the railway annual budget made sure that Ranchi
    gets its deserved piece of allocation. Currently Ranchi has very good connectivity with all major
    centres in India.

          Air

    The Ranchi Airport (Code: IXR) is located in Hinoo. It is approximately 7 km from the city centre. The
    airport name is Bhagwan Birsa Munda Airport. Indian flies daily to Delhi and Mumbai. Air Deccan, Air
    Sahara and MDLR Airlines also fly to Delhi. Air Deccan and MDLR also have flights to Calcutta. Two
    new operators, Kingfisher Airlines and Indigo will also fly to Delhi and Calcutta by March. Apart from
    that there is An airport in Jamshedpur where commercial flights to Ranchi and Calcutta will start
    soon. The airport is situated in Sonari.

    Ranchi, capital of Jharkhand, was once the summer capital of Bihar. Situated at a height of 2100 ft
    above the sea level Ranchi was one of the most important cities in Bihar.

    While at Ranchi - Ranchi is linked to North, East, West and South by rail and to every important part
    of the country by road and Patna-Delhi-Mumbai by air. Rickshaws and Tempos are readily available
    on Rly. Station and bus stands [Birsa {Khadgarha} bus stand and Ratu Bus Stand] to take you to
    any part of the city almost 24 hours, but avoid late night movements. Rickshaw and reserved tempo
    fare from both the stands to Albert Ekka (Firayalal) chowk is negotiable which come to Rs. 10/- and
    25/- to 35/- respectively. You can have hotels to suit your purse near Rly. Station and Bus Stands.
    From Ranchi town to different sites of sight seeing, you can have regular bus service or you can
    charter taxi (private cars) or hire tempo - fare is negotiable.

    Luxury hotels, skyscraper offices and air-conditioned shopping, doctors, surgeons and physicians of
    national repute and their nursing homes and clinics, good hospitals, medicine and diagnostic
    centers, beauty clinics and such other facilities are enough to assure you to meet any eventualities
    and thwart your anxieties.


           Bus
         
      Ranchi has two bus stands [Birsa {Khadgarha}and bus stand and Ratu Bus Stand] to take you
      to any part of the city almost 24 hours, but avoid late night movements.There are Government Buses
      (JTDC/BSRTC) and Many Private Bus Tranporters.To Travel from Ranchi Town to different sites of
      sight seeing you can have egular bus servive or you can charter taxi(private cars) or hite Tempo.
