In Birhor tribe, this marriage is called "Sadar Bapla".

Abduction Marriage: In this marriage, girls are kidnapped and then married. This marriage is mainly prevalent in "Oraon", "Munda", "I lo", "Khadiya" and "Birhor" tribes. Maximum marriages of this type take place in "Souriya Pahariya". Co-Migration Marriage: In this marriage, bride and groom elope without the consent of parents. It is prevalent among the "Munda", "Khadiya" and "Birhor" tribes. Widow Marriage: This marriage is more prevalent in "Munda", "Oraon" and "Santhal" tribes. |
