It is the biggest human fair of the world. • With the beginning of the shrawan month, the Shiv devotees across India as well as of neighbouring countries come here to offer prayer. Sarhul: • It is the most important festival of the Adivasis. • It is celebrated just before cultivation begins. • This festival is celebrated on the third day of the bright half of the lunar month, Chaitya. • In this festival, "Pahan" (priest) worships "Sarna". • The place where Sarhul phool (flo er) is immersed is called "Giriya". • This festival is known by Munda, raon and Santhal tribes as Sarhul, Khaddi and Baha respectively |
