Most of the materials of archaeological importance collected from Sitagara hills are scripted on  
           gray sandstone. Among these, a Stupa made up of four pictures of Gautam Buddha is worth
           mentioning.
            Chinese traveller, Fa - Hein has mentioned in his writings about the remnants of a Buddha
           monastery of sixth century have been found in the Sitagara hill (Hazaribagh).
    •        Ashtdal, the symbol of Vinobha Bhave University is the same as the Ashtdal made on the red
           and stone, obtained from Sitagara.
    •        Pictures of a large open Sun Temple, Caves etc. made by ancient men can be found on a large
           piece of rock in a place called Isko in Hazaribagh district.
    •        In the large pictures found in Isko, one can find pictures of space ships, people of outer space,
           star constellations etc. Besides these, one can also find pictures similar to a maze.
    •        In the different areas ofthe Hazaribagh district (Badkagawn, Mandu, Rajrappa etc.), a large
           number of tools of rocks like Axe, Point (Bedhani), Scraper (Khurachani), Burin (Takshni) and
           Borer (Bedhak) etc. made by ancient men have been recovered in archaeological excavations.
    •        A large number of tools and instruments made from Lower, Middle and Upper Palaeolithic have
           been recovered during archaeological excavations in Jharkhand implying that ancient men used
           to live in Jharkhand.
    •        A copper chain and bronze ring has been found at Murad.        .
    •        Ancient cemetry has been found at Lupangadi.
    •        Paleolithic & upper - Paleolithic implements have been found at Jurdag, Parsadhika, Jojada,
           Hardage, Chipadi, etc.
    •        Jain Statues of the 7th Century A.D. have been obtained from Benusagar of  Singhbhum district.
    •        Lower Paleolithic implements have been traced from Konolako, Saradkela , Bhallaongari, etc.
    •        Upper Paleolithic implements have been traced out at Parsadhika.
    •        The 8th century inscriptions have been traced from Dudhpani of Hazaribagh district.
    •        A Shiva - fellic has been traced from Dumduma, near Dudhpani.
    •        A large number of rare rock pictures and natural caves of the pre-historical age have been
           found at Bhawnathpur in Garhwa district. Hunting pictures of deer, buffalo , etc are also found in
           this cave.
    •        Pieces of earthenware, earthen pots, hammers made of rocks have been obtained from a place
           called Barudih of Singhbhum district.
